Cushing's Disease In Dogs

What is the treatment of the disease in dogs with Cushing or diabetes?

First the dog must be properly diagnosed by a veterinarian. Blood work will be done. A urinalysis will also be ran. Most people with diabetes often can be diagnosed in the house. Cushings other hand, the blood work is sent to an outside laboratory. If the dog is diabetic, he will need insulin twice a day. The scheme will be monitored. A blood test and UA will need to be made some time to monitor progress. If the dog has Cushing's, it will be on medication to keep the adrenal glands produce too much cortisone. The dog must blood tests to monitor routine medications.
